The event starts at 6pm with Backbone tasting and live music kicks off at 7pm.

Backbone Bourbon Cigar Blend – Naptown Cigar Blend
Blend of straight bourbon and bourbon finished in Port, Amaro, and Barbados Rum Barrels aged a total of 70 months, 119.4 pf, barrel S1157
Tasting Pre-Cigar:
Nose: Bright and rich, with a deep fortified red wine character. Layers of brown sugar and dark dried fruit come through. It’s an inviting nose, complex and enjoyable.
Palate: Opens with a pleasant brown sugar and white raisin sweetness. This transitions into a growing peppery spice that adds balance and depth.
Finish: Long and warming, driven by lingering spice. After a few sips, a subtle sugary berry note begins to emerge and hangs on, rounding things out nicely.
Tasting (Paired with Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9):
Nose: The profile shifts noticeably with the cigar. What was previously more generalized baked sweetness now leans clearly into fresh oatmeal raisin cookies, complete with a vanilla icing note. The sweetness feels more defined, and the deep red fruit character continues to carry through, now with a slightly richer, more dessert-like quality.
Palate: The whiskey stands up impressively to the cigar. It complements the cigar’s dark, earthy richness by introducing a balancing sweetness that softens and elevates the overall experience. A sweet tobacco note comes forward and the peppery spice on the back end becomes more pronounced, integrating well with the cigar’s bold, savory notes.
Finish: Warm and lingering, with the spice still present but now more harmonious. Interestingly, the finish feels almost cleansing, resetting the palate and making it immediately ready for the next draw of the cigar.
